Connect2Dorset is seeking an experienced Adults Social Worker to join a busy and supportive Adult Social Care team in Dorchester. Hybrid working is offered 2 days in the office plus community based visits 

 Role: Temporary, Location: Dorchester

 Pay: £32.00 - £35.00 per hour

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner with experience of undertaking Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries, managing complex caseloads and working collaboratively with individuals, families, providers and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries in line with the Care Act
 * Manage a varied Adult Social Care caseload
 * Conduct community-based visits to individuals, carers and care providers
 * Complete assessments, risk assessments and safeguarding documentation
 * Work collaboratively with health professionals, providers and partner agencies
 * Promote independence, wellbeing and person-centred outcomes
 * Maintain accurate and timely case records

Requirements

Qualified Social Worker (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
 * Registered with Social Work England
 * Previous experience undertaking Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries is essential
 * Experience within Adult Social Care
 * Strong assessment, safeguarding and case management skills
 * Ability to travel across the community to undertake visits

About you

You must hold a recognised Social Work qualification (degree/diploma) and be registered with Social Work England.

Preferably we are looking for a social worker with experience of working within the safeguarding sector

Enhanced DBS Clearance (Children's & Adults) we will obtain
